Commercial Tenancy Relief Scheme
The CTRS is available to business with an annual turnover of less than $10 million and a loss of at least 30% turnover due to COVID-19. Landlords will be required to provide a rent reduction to tenants in line with their reduced turnover. As such, Held Lawyers can assist in obtaining relevant information, providing legal advice to the landlord/tenant, negotiations with third parties, determining waiving of rent, and documentation of the agreement reached between landlord and tenant.
Costs for our Services
When it comes to leasing, subject to discussions, our professional costs are generally $1,470 plus GST for three hours of our time when acting for the lessor. When acting for the lessee, we generally charge $990 plus GST for two hours of our professional time. For lease renewals, assignments or transfers, we generally charge $990 plus GST for two hours. With regards to other matters, our professional costs are generally $200 plus GST for Verification of Identity (VOI), and $490 plus GST per hour for general consults.
